I usually post finished jewelry as opposed to just polymer clay beads, but I was too excited about these to wait for the finish to dry. I love things that rock out and are easy to make, like these. All I did was put a Lisa Pavelka water slide transfer on white clay, cut to desired size, then baked. The transfers come in many different designs and couldn’t be easier to use. There is even blank transfer paper to print your own designs on, which I have yet to try. It is not carried in any of the local craft stores near me, but you can order it (any lotsa other awesomeness) from her online shop, here. I get no kickbacks or freebies for posting this, I just love it and want to share. Gonna order me some of those blankies. Combining my graphic design with polymer clay… it is almost too much craft bliss.
Polymer Clay Day #21: Cupcake Necklace
by
Ayaack! This thing is a lil’ cutie. You guys remember this cupcake I crocheted? Same niece, same cupcake obsession. Upcoming birthday. 100 days of polymer clay – a clay cupcake was inevitable. I found an awesome youtube video by Puurple Duucky, detailing the process…
I chose to just use a single color for the icing, and I cut lil’ tiny pieces of yellow for the sprinkles. They had trouble staying on, but are in place after a few coats of varathane sealant.
Fun!
Faux Abalone Circle Triangle Pendant From Polymer Clay
by
New adventures in polymer clay. My goal is to have these on my etsy store within 24 hours! A friend asked me if I ever worked with abalone. He wanted me to make him a sobriety necklace circle triangle with the triangle made of abalone. Instead, I found an amazing tutorial (here) on faux abalone from polymer clay. Loving the exploration of new effects with my medium of the month! What do you think?
Handmade Polymer Clay Heart Necklace

Here is the purple heart I made from clay, with my niece in mind. She is full of love, and purple is her favorite color. She also runs fast for her high school track team, but I will save that for a post on my new running blog (click here)!
Polymer clay makes me happy. For some beautiful project ideas, visit here – the Sculpey project page. I really want to try out the Friendship Vase. It combines stamping and clay. I can hardly take it 🙂
