Cuttlebug Die Cut Daisy T-shirt Wreath

How to make Cricut Paper Daisies Embellishments; Video Tutorial from Saved By Love Creations

Make these fun paper daisies to adorn cards, wreaths, and more with a  Cricut Cuttlebug Daisy Die kit and a Sizzix Tim Holtz Vagabond.  These flowers are made from AstroBrights paper, warm variety.  The wreath is made by wrapping strips of old T-shirt around a wreath form.   Click to see the original “T-shirt Wreath Tutorial“. I used Mod Podge 3D adhesive mounts to stick the flowers to the wreath.  This video shows the making of the flowers.  Enjoy!

Neon, back to school craft, with free printable template using AstroBrights warm color pack and a $1 mirror… are you interested? This bold paper comes in 23 vibrant colors that fit right in with the recent neon craze. It definitely grabs the eye, and is fantastic for crafts, brochures, invites… anything that you want to make stand out.

With all the neon jewelry hitting the fasion scene, i had a hard time choosing between a back to school project and a neon paper bead project i have in mind. I went with the back to school craft, but keep your eyes peeled for a bracelet from AstroBright paper beads in the near future. I chose 3 colors to create a fun paper rosette magnetic mirror that will go right on my niece’s locker (that is if I don’t accidentally forget to give it to her, leaving it on my refrigerator). Watch the video to see how to create your own.

EK Tools Doily Petal Lighted Flower Bouquet

EK Tools paper punched flower lighted bouquet at savedbylovecreations.com

If there is anything I love more than paper flowers, it may be lights.  That is why this paper flower lighted bouquet I made using the doily dimensional flower punch from EK tools is so exciting to me!  This project is super easy, and perfect for wedding or other party decor.  If you are like me, and love party decor all the time, just accessorize you home with these all year round!

To make the flowers, watch this video I showed you in my lighted flower strings post.  Instead of the EK tools carnation punch, you will use the Ek tools  doily petal punch.  The rest of the flower process is the same.  Then just pick up a lighted LED branch and put your flowers on there but sticking the light through the hole in the center of the flower.

Video: Paper Flowers and Flower Light Strings

Paper Flower Light Strings

I found this great EK Tools 3D flower paper punch at Michael’s and just had to feed my paper flower addiction.  The punch is super easy and fun to use.  You will see in the video tutorial below, straight out of the package, you will be making gorgeous flowers.  This is a great alternative to investing in a die cut machine, if you just want to get a taste.

All you need is the punch, a bamboo skewer, scrapbook paper 12×12 sheets and glue. When you are finished with the flowers, you can use them several different ways.  I dipped my flowers in Outdoor Mod Podge, then used an LED battery operated string of lights to make flower string lights.  The Mod Podge step is not necessary unless you need them sealed.  My next plan is to use coordinating papers and make a bouquet.

What do you do with your paper flowers?

Martha Stewart Crafter's Clay Jewelry Tutorial

Make gorgeous, custom, boutique worthy jewelry with this easy Martha Stewart Crafter’s Clay video DIY.  Used in this tutorial is the nature kit, which I found at Michael’s.  I showed it to you before in this clay hydrangeas tutorial.  Some basic jewelry supplies and techniques and antiquing with glaze are used with the silicone mold flowers for the final pieces.

Aluminum Can Rose Pendant Sizzix Video Tutorial

AluminumCanRosePendantThis video tutorial walks you through the process of using a Sizzix machine to cut an aluminum can that you will use to create the 3D rose pendant.  This is super easy, and you know I love it because it is an upcycle!  Not to mention how pretty the rose is.  You can use it for a charm, card embellishment, rings and all kinds of jewelry and crafts.  I opted for the inside of the can so my rose would be aluminum, but you can grab a can in any color you could need for your project.

Video Tutorial: Make your own Tube Bead Bracelets

How to Make Easy Bracelets with Tube Beads

These posts I showed you a couple of weeks back featuring Honestly WTF’s bracelet tutorial finally made it from my “To Do” list to my “I made that” list.  What is even better about it is that I made my first ever video.  I am not saying it will be nominated for an oscar, or that my hands weren’t in the way to an annoying degree, but I finally broke that “make a video” barrier.  You will love this project.  Just slip the gold tube beads onto the cord, then you make the adjustable macrame closure I show you in the video.

DIY Macrame Knot Adjustable Bracelet

Honestly WTF used chinese knotting cord (1mm), which I didn’t have, so I hit Joann’s and Michaels for 1mm cord of my own.  I found the gold tube beads at Hobby Lobby, a package of 8 for $1.47.  I also found the gold spacer beads at Hobby Lobby, but you can find gold beads anywhere.

DIY Crafter’s Clay Flowers

As much of a polymer clay fanatic as I am, I was a unsure how Martha Stewart’s Crafter’s Clay would compare.  I finally got my hands on some, and I am loving the stuff.

There are several differences between this clay and polymer clay.  Like polymer clay, this is pretty easy to use, and you can mix some amazing colors.  It doesn’t fingerprint as easily as polymer clay, which is nice.  You don’t have to condition it, so prep time is essentially zero.  Just mix the color you want and start creating.  It has a different, lighter, spongy kind of feel compared to polymer clay.  One down side is that it starts to dry pretty quickly when exposed to air, even though the instructions say to let it dry for 24 hours.  I would say the working time is about 25 minutes before it becomes to dry to shape.

The kit I got came with instructions for making these lovely hydrangeas, a color mixing chart, crafter’s clay in white, brown, yellow, red and blue, detailing tools, 4 silicone molds, floral tape and floral wire.  Read on to see how to make your own hydrangea bouquet.

Aside from what comes in the Martha Stewart Crafter’s Clay kit, you will need craft glue (I used Glossy Accents).

I bunched my flowers into groups of 4 by wrapping the wires together and placed in a glass jar from Goodwill that I spray painted white.

If you get a chance to work with this, take it.  You can easily make your own lovely bouquet.  I got my kit from Michael’s recently, using my 40% off coupon.
