Quatrefoil Framed Joy Printable

Free Christmas Printable
Because I am in full swing Christmas decor mode, I decided to design this “JOY” trio, perfect for the silver dollar tree frames I picked up a couple of weeks ago.  I love how this turned out, and I have apparently decided to add black and red to my silver and white Christmas theme.  Below is the link for you to download these prints.  I put them all on the same 8.5×11 inch page to save room and paper.  My frame size is 3.5 x 5 inches, so they all fit.  You may need to resize for your project.

They would be cute dangling vertically from the bottom of a Christmas wreath too.

Monogram Plate Tutorial

Painted Plate

Ready to add a quick splash of color to a room, while celebrating the family name with a lovely monogram?  This project is super simple, and you most likely have all of the supplies on hand.  All you need is a plate or candle holder, a printer, and some craft paint, and you are on your way.

Supplies:

  • Image made in photoshop to fit plate center: Click here to download blank version
  • Super 77
  • Orange craft paint
  • Paint brush

Instructions:

  • Paint plate desired color:  You may want to use a coat of primer.  I used folk art Enamel (color Orange Poppy) paint and just painted the orange directly onto the black plate.  It took 2 coats.

How to paint plate

  • Open the above free download in you favorite editing program and add your monogram letter.  Size to fit your plate, and print on glossy photo paper.
  • Cut out circle and spray Super 77 on back (liberally), then press onto plate.  That is it!

Fall Printable: Keep Calm Count Blessings

Keep Calm Free Printable

Fall decorating with printables is inexpensive, quick and easy, especially if you can just use your home computer.  This is an 8×10, framed in a garage sale frame that I picked up for a couple of bucks and spray painted black.  Jumping on the “Keep Calm” bandwagon, here is a Thanksgiving themed version for you to print.  I plan to display it until Christmas, and switch it out with a holly jolly version.

How are those fall mantels coming along?  There are so many options for decor this time of year, that I have been overwhelmed with choices and unable to decide on anything.  Today, I share with you the chevron “give thanks” printable, as well as a step by step for how I created the plate that is bring all of this together… Finally.

Supplies:

  • Chevron Free PrintablePlate or MDF candle holder (I got mine at Michaels recently for $3

How to decorate plates

  • Super 77 or your choice of adhesive
  • Wire or jute and staple gun (glue gun if you are using glass or plastic plate)  if you want to hang your plate
  • Medium grit sand paper (150)
  • Lint free cloth

Instructions:

  • Lightly sand your plate and wipe away debris with a damp, lint free cloth
  • Measure the inner circle diameter of your plate, and size the free printable accordingly.  Mine was exactly 7.5 inches.  Print image on glossy photo paper and let dry 10 minutes before moving to the next step
  • Cut out using black circle outline as your guide (which you should have sized to match the diameter of the inner circle)

  • Spray Super 77 or other mounting spray on surface of plate and back of image, BOTH.
  • Press image down onto center of plate, making sure you get placement right before making contact.  This stuff really sticks.
  • Use palm of hand to smooth image down from the center out.
  • To hang, I stapled jute to the back with my staple gun.

You may want to seal with a layer of mod podge for protecting the image.  I was too eager to hang it up, so I skipped this part, but should do it for when I change my mantel and store this for next year.

Super easy project and I love how it looks.  What do you think?

Music Subway Art Printable

Subway Art Printable

I am thrilled to bring you this free downloadable subway art printable for the music lovers out there.  I am decorating the space above my husbands new piano, and came up with this design in Photoshop that incorporates a quote by Aldous Huxley.  It is 11×17 inches, and I had it printed at Office Depot this morning for a whopping $0.21!!   I hope it inspires him, and you, to put your music out there.

Here is my tutorial on creating your very own subway art using Photoshop, but you don’t need it for to print this file.  Just linking it in case you would like to use your own quote or words.

Here are two versions of the music quote subway art for you to download:

Version One: You can download full size here.  It is a jpg file.

Version 2 is picutred in the teaser.  It has music notes instead of the piano and the fonts vary a little.  Download here.  It is a pdf file.
