Polymer Clay & Resin Word Bracelet

Have you seen the polymer clay/Sizzix kick going on here at SBLC?  Well, I didn’t have a die to cut the exact circle I needed for these bracelet blanks, so I used a paper punch for a circle that fit perfectly.

You can easily make this beautiful custom word bracelet at home.  Here is how…

The letters are stickers I got in the scrapbooking section at Michael’s. They are perfectly sized for jewelry.

Hi. Just found your site, and love it! A few questions…. You did a review on Ultradome resin, but here you are still using Magic-Glos. Do you still like the Ultradome better? I have been thinking of trying it, but the necessity of buying a stronger lamp deal is holding me back. Also, have you found that the glue, alcohol inks or the papers having any ill effects on the Magic-Glos? I’ve always heard that eventually it will react to the above, and get goopy again. I’ve shied away from using it this way, so very interested in hearing how it went. Thank you! :0)

Hi Shelley. Thanks for the questions. I love Ultradome, but like you, don’t want to invest in a stronger lamp. I am all set up for Magic Glos with what I have now. If it is a sunny day, I will opt for Ultradome and cure outside everytime. I have not yet had any pieces get goopy again with Magic Glos. Hope that is helpful!

    Hi Johnnie!
I’ll have to return to your “Clay and Resin” Tutorial. Wow! I really liked this one, but (for me) I’d do it without the letters. The colors are so vibrant, and could be used wo make all sorts of things. You sound like you are hooked with Polymer Clay, and it is a medium I enjoy so much too. It’s so therapeutic! Art, for me, is such a Blessing. I’m also a Fine Artist, and am envisioning incorporating this into a neat project. Really sweet! You could even use this for barrettes, I bet!

Your creativity is really something else!

    Thanks,
    DIANA

p.s. Noticed your mentioning the “Architectural Digest”. Am going to spring for a subscription to this magazine. It is great for design!

  6. I’ve always admired this bracelet and wondered how it is holding up a year later. No bleeding or reactions to the inks and stickers? So pretty!
