Only Parent Chronicles

Meet Me Monday, and Other Linkies

Meet Me Monday posts five questions as a means of us all knowing each other a little better. This is my first time playing…

Questions:

1. What is your favorite kind of fudge?

Peanut butter… duh.
2. Is there snow outside your window?
Lots of it. For awhile now. And snowing. I LOVE it!

3. What is your favorite meal of the day?
Breakfast. Yummy. In fact, it’s about that time.
4. Do you text on your cell phone?
Daily
5. Waffles or pancakes?
I can’t decide. Anything with a bunch of syrup and powdered sugar on top is pretty much gonna work for me.

Make Animals From Your Ground Sirloin; Turtle Burgers

So my husband decided to combine various meats into this lovely turtle you see before you. He was really into it. I tried to talk him in to just making regular cheese burgers, but he was dead set. Once I realized it meant I was off the hook for making dinner, I was really into it with him. I have to admit, it was fun to watch my Jenni and her dorm roommate seeing their dinner for the first time. Giggles abound. Here is the recipe he used. Great idea for kids parties (even college aged kids). You are gonna need lots of meat, my friends.

Wanna Take Better Photos? DIY Photo Cube; The best $10 I Have Spent In Ages.

I have been revamping my online shops to introduce my new pendant designs. Throughout this process, it became apparent that my macro photos of my jewelry… well, sucked. I browsed other artists stores and wondered how on earth many of them were getting such nice shots of their work. I stumbled upon a solution that seems to be working for me. All it takes (aside from your camera) is a cardboard box, some white tissue paper, some tape, a couple of cheap desk lamps, and some 100W daylight energy smart light bulbs. Here is an in depth tutorial at Strobist. This is seriously worth doing. My pictures are improved significantly, and I am not restricted by the location of the sun (or lack thereof). Here are some of the pics I have taken with my rockin’ DIY photo light cube…
