TUTORIAL: Altered Vintage Pendant; Dimensional Dream

DreamDimensional2
I found this charm with a big wanna be diamond filling the entire oval. I removed the shiny plastic jewel with pliers leaving the oval frame. Then I just cut scrapbook paper to size, put a dab of “Glossy Accents” by ranger on the back to adhere the paper to the oval.

I tore a piece of cream colored card stock, place a transparent “dream” sticker on it, and again used a thin layer of glossy accents to adhere it to the oval cut scrapbook paper (mod podge for paper would work well here too – I like glossy accents cause it dries super fast, and has a precision applicator which makes it less messy). I placed transparent red flower stickers above “dream”, and filled in the piece with glossy accents for the domed, clear, glass like clear cover. I let that dry for 24 hours and place the pendant on an 18 inch black cord. You could use resin or 2 part epoxy for this clear hard cover, but I think glossy accents is far less fussy and just as lovely. Just my 2 cents. I hear diamond glaze is another option, but have not used it yet, so cannot comment as to its effectiveness.
